எலிசா அவளை நோக்கி: நான் உனக்கு என்னசெய்ய வேண்டும்? வீட்டில் உன்னிடத்தில் என்ன இருக்கிறது சொல் என்றான். அதற்கு அவள்: ஒரு குடம் எண்ணெய் அல்லாமல் உமது அடியாளுடைய வீட்டில் வேறொன்றும் இல்லை என்றாள்.

எலிசா அவளை நோக்கி: நான் உனக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும்? வீட்டில் உன்னிடத்தில் என்ன இருக்கிறது சொல் என்றான். அதற்கு அவள்: ஒரு குடம் எண்ணெயைத் தவிர உமது அடியாளுடைய வீட்டில் வேறொன்றும் இல்லை என்றாள்.

அதற்கு எலிசா, “நான் எவ்வாறு உதவமுடியும்? உன் வீட்டில் என்ன இருக்கிறது என்று சொல்” என்று கேட்டான். அப்பெண்ணும், “என் வீட்டில் எதுவுமில்லை. ஒரு ஜாடி (ஒலிவ) எண்ணெய் மட்டும் உள்ளது” என்றாள்.

shall I do אֶֽעֱשֶׂה ʿāśâ ah-SA
לָּ֔ךְ
for thee? tell הַגִּ֣ידִי nāgad na-ɡAHD
לִ֔י
me, what מַה mâ ma
hast יֶּשׁ yēš yaysh
לָ֖כְי
thou in the house? בַּבָּ֑יִת bayit ba-YEET
And she said, וַתֹּ֗אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
hath not אֵ֣ין ʾayin ah-YEEN
Thine handmaid לְשִׁפְחָֽתְךָ֥ šipḥâ sheef-HA
any thing כֹל֙ kōl kole
in the house, בַּבַּ֔יִת bayit ba-YEET
save כִּ֖י kî kee

a pot אָס֥וּךְ ʾāsûk ah-SOOK
