அவன் நீரூற்றண்டைக்குப் போய், உப்பை அதிலே போட்டு: இந்தத் தண்ணீரை ஆரோக்கியமாக்கினேன்; இனி இதினால் சாவும் வராது, நிலப்பாழும் இராது என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

அவன் தண்ணீர் பாய்கிற இடத்திற்கு போனான். அதில் உப்பைப் போட்டான். “அவன், ‘நான் இந்த தண்ணீரை சுத்தமாக்குகிறேன்! இப்பொழுதிலிருந்து இந்த தண்ணீர் எவ்வித மரணத்துக்கும் காரணமாக இருக்காது. விளை நிலங்களில் தொடர்ந்து நல்ல விளைச்சலைத் தரும்’ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்கிறார்” என்றான்.
