அதற்கு யாபேசின் மூப்பர்கள்: நாங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் நாடெங்கும் ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பும்படி, ஏழுநாள் எங்களுக்குத் தவணைகொடும், எங்களை ரட்சிப்பார் இல்லாவிட்டால், அப்பொழுது உம்மிடத்தில் வருவோம் என்றார்கள்.

யாபேசின் தலைவர்கள் நாகாசிடம், “எங்களுக்கு 7 நாட்கள் அவகாசம் கொடுங்கள். அனைத்து இஸ்ரவேலருக்கும் தூது அனுப்புகிறோம். யாரும் உதவிக்கு வரவில்லை என்றால், உங்களிடம் வந்து சரணடைந்து விடுகிறோம்” என்று கூறினார்கள்.

Atharku yaapaesin moopparkal: naangal Israel naadengum sthaanaapathikalai anuppumpati, aelunaal engalukkuth thavannaikodum, engalai ratchippaar illaavittal, appoluthu ummidaththil varuvom entarkal.

him, Give us seven	שִׁבְעַ֣ת	šebaʿ	sheh-VA
days'	יָמִ֔ים	yôm	yome
that we may send	וְנִשְׁלְחָה֙	šālaḥ	sha-LAHK
messengers	מַלְאָכִ֔ים	mălʾok	mul-OKE
unto all	בְּכֹ֖ל	kōl	kole
