Because of the traditions we follow in our churches, we seem confused when we see people worshiping and praising God with Tamil Christian songs. There is no hard-and-fast rule as to how we need praise and worship God. The best part is we can do this anywhere, at any time. We feel that praise songs have a fast beat, while worship songs have a softer music. I think we have been misguided if that has been taught to us. God clearly tell us how to worship Him.
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. John 4:23
According to this scripture, God is looking for those who can worship Him in Spirit and truth. Apparently, this means we need to build a personal relationship with him. Only then, we can worship Him in truth. The more we worship God in our quiet times, the more we will be able to worship God in front of people.
We can worship our Lord through the day, as we do the different chores, at work, with kids, while driving, etc. It is a matter of placing our whole self before Him daily and communing with Him. Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Romans 12:1
